Bandits in Kaduna State have killed Air Craftsman Abubakar Muhammad Ahmad, a soldier with the Nigerian Air Force that was due to marry in three weeks.
Senator for Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate, Shehu Sani mourned the killing on social media after paying a condolence visit to the family of the deceased on Sunday.
The gallant soldier and six of his colleagues were killed in an ambush along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road on Saturday.
Taking to Twitter, Sani said, “Air Craftsman Abubakar Muhammad Ahmad along with some of this colleagues were killed by bandits in an ambush along Kaduna Birnin Gwari road yesterday.
“He was to get married in 3 weeks time.

“I visited his family home in Kaduna today.
“May his soul Rest In Peace.Amin.”
Meanwhile, a video has emerged of the moment the late soldier’s remains were evacuated by his colleagues.
In the video sighted by this reporter, one of Ahmad’s colleagues could be heard weeping while mourning his death.
The tearful soldier said, “Which kind of thing is this one? God! Wetin I go tell your wife (What Will I tell your wife)?”
