Popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho says the Federal Government has blocked his bank accounts to punish him for fighting a just cause.

Igboho stated this in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on Tuesday, Vanguard reported.

In January, Igboho oversaw the sacking of the Fulani settlement in Igangan community, Ibarapa North LGA of Oyo State over criminal activities allegedly traced to Fulani herdsmen in the community.

He stated that the Federal Government blocked all his accounts because people were collecting donations which he had no hand in.

Igboho warned the Federal Government to unblock the accounts or South-West youths in their numbers would hit the streets in protest.

“They have frozen my bank accounts because I am fighting a just course. I know Yoruba people are behind me.

“I will not relent. I must achieve my aims by putting an end to criminalities in Yorubaland.

“If they refuse to release my accounts, there will be serious protests across the South-West.

“Yes, the Yoruba are living in fear. They are afraid that the killer-herdsmen might attack them,” Vanguard quoted Igboho to have said.
