Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side produced a masterclass on Sunday evening to thrash Liverpool 4-1 at Anfield.
It was the third straight home defeat for Jurgen Klopp’s injury-plagued side, the first time the club has lost three in a row at home since 1963.
It was also the first time in 18 years that Manchester City would get the better of Liverpool at Anfield.
Ilkay Gundogan grabbed two goals, and missed one penalty, with the other City goals coming courtesy of Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden.
The victory meant City opened up a five-point advantage over second-place Manchester United with a game still to play.

Liverpool on the other hand are rooted to the fourth spot on the EPL table with 39 points out of 23 games, a point adrift of Leicester City.
