Quit notice: “Mind your utterances” – Fani-Kayode warns Muslim group

Bishop Kukah

Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has warned a group, Muslim Solidarity Forum (MSF) to mind its utterances after it ordered Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah to apologise to Muslims or leave Sokoto.

The group also charged the popular cleric to desist from “malicious vituperations against Islam and Muslims” .

MSF’s position was conveyed through its Chairman, Prof Isa Maishanu, who accused the cleric of  trying to cause disharmony between Christians and Muslims in the “seat of the Caliphate (Sokoto)” with his controversial Christmas message.

But in a Twitter thread on Wednesday, Fani-Kayode described Kukah as a peace-loving cleric.

He dared anyone with video evidence of Kukah inciting people to violence to produce it and get N1 million reward.

The ex-minister wrote, “Bishop Hassan Kukah did not attack Islam & has nothing to apologise about.

“He has always sought for religious tolerance & peaceful co-existence between Christians & Muslims.

“Those that demand that he “must apologise” or “leave Sokoto” must mind their utterances & keep the peace.

“If anyone can provide me with a video of Kukah calling for violence against Muslims or inciting people against Islam I will give him one million naira.”
