A Nigerian Cyber Crime suspect, Sanchez Charles Ogochukwu, has been arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), on Monday.
Ogochukwu was arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Kenya.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) confirmed the arrest via their Twitter handle.
The DCI explained that the suspect attempted to flee the country.
DCI also revealed that the arrest was carried out in conjunction with immigration officers.
“A wanted suspect holding a Nigerian passport, was early this morning arrested at JKIA. Our watchful detectives pounced on Sanchez Charles Ogochukwu, as he prepared to board a Nigeria-bound flight,” DCI stated via their Twitter handle.

DCI Director, George Kinoti, has, in recent times, expressed concerns over the alarming rate of online fraud cases.
He urged Kenyans to be super conscious when conducting their transactions digitally.
Kinoti noted that many Kenyans have fallen victim to scammers who take advantage of naïve online shoppers.
He lamented the situation where some Kenyans were left in unsavoury scenarios after conducting businesses on websites and social media without, first, confirming the authenticity.
This, he explained, had robbed them of their hard earned money.
To this effect, members of the public have been advised to report any suspicious case to the toll-free number, 0800 722 203.
