A popular sports journalist, Godwin Enakhena says commuters on Guinness Road off Oba Akran Road, Ikeja in Lagos are being subjected to needless suffering on the road.
He blamed the suffering on the usual blockage of the road by trailers owned by the popular brewery, Guinness Nigeria Plc.
Enakhena appealed to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other well-meaning Lagosians to adopt measures to save commuters from the “wicked of Guinness and their trailers”.
Enakhena, who is also the Chairman of MFM Football Club, made the appeal in a Tuesday tweet while sharing a video of the blocked road.
He wrote, “Please Lagosians, help tag anyone that can deliver some of us plying this route from the wickedness of Guinness and their trailers.
“The pain is too much and the Lagos State government that once restored sanity on that road has turned blind eye to the return of this impunity.”

In a similar tweet on December 10, he wrote, “This is the popular Guinness Road, off Oba Akran in Ogba, it has once again been taken over by trailers. Please help appeal to @jidesanwoolu @followlastma @gm_lastma @lagosstategov to step in and restore sanity. We don’t need parked trailers on that road. They’re causing us pains.”
