The Owa of Igbajo, Oba Olufemi Fashade, passed away on Thursday, reports reaching The Herald have just confirmed.
An anonymous source revealed that the royal leader passed on after succumbing to an unspecified illness.
“But formal announcement of his passage won’t be done until all necessary rites are completed,” an anonymous source stated.

Oba Olufemi Fashade was enthroned as Owa of Igbajo in 1990.
Oba Fashade was an ex-soldier as well as the number citizen of Igbajo community.
The high point of Oba Fashade’s reign was the creation of a tertiary institution in community called Igbajo Polytechnic.
Igbajo, for those who do not know, is a town in Osun State, Nigeria.
