Nigerian comedy king, Ali Baba has advised Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote to tarry a bit longer in his bid to buy Arsenal.
The Arsenal fan said it would amount to a waste of resources if the billionaire businessman bought the club during its current poor run of form.
Ali Baba said the same issue made him hold off on renewing his season tickets in the last two years.
Dangote had said he was considering buying the North London club after completing his refinery project in the Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos.
Reacting, Ali Baba said, “Yes, Dangote can afford to buy Arsenal or any other club after his refinery project. I think it is a commercial move, not to develop our (local) sport.
“I like the idea of Aliko buying the gunners. But if he buys these kindergarten players, he won’t make his money. I hope that he buys Arsenal, but the influence of an owner is limited. The coach makes the major decisions that help the club to grow.”

Ali Baba said Dangote was however free to buy the club when the performances improve.
