President Muhammadu Buhari is today presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Herald can report that this is the first FEC meeting that the President Buhari would be presiding over since his return from his one-week private visit to his hometown, Daura in Katsina State.
Buhari joined the last meeting, which was presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, virtually from his Daura home.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha; and Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari are also at the ongoing meeting.
Others at the meeting are: Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN; Minister of FCT, Muhammad Musa Bello; Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; among others.

Recall that Buhari on Friday, December 11 embarked on the private visit to Daura.
But hours after his plane landed in Katsina, bandits on motorbikes stormed another part of the state, kidnapping 344 students of the Government Science Secondary School (GSSS), Kankara.
Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka described the audacity of the attack as a “slap” across the President’s face.
President Buhari returned to Abuja on Friday, December 18.
