The wife of a kidnapped Kaduna resident, Abubakar Muhammed, has given birth to triplets during her husband’s ordeal.
The pregnant woman went into labour while her husband was being held by his abductors, and put to bed in his absence.
Muhammed was however later released by his abductors after severe beating and the payment of an unspecified amount as ransom.
Senator for Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate, Shehu Sani stated this in a tweet on Saturday.
He also shared a photo of the triplets.

According to Sani, the victim was held inside a bush by his abductors and beaten silly.
Sani, who is a human rights activist, said that the armed abductors of Muhammed gave an ultimatum for the demanded ransom, failing which he would be killed.
Sani wrote, “At last, we have been able to secure the release of Abubakar Muhammed from the hands of his kidnappers in Kaduna after ransom was paid.
“He was thoroughly beaten by the armed abductors who kept him in the bush and gave an ultimatum.
“His wife delivered triplets – all boys in – his absence.”
