Dangote group has been exempted from the border closure affecting other companies and industries in Nigeria.
President Buhari who shut the borders of the country since 2019 has given Dangote group an exemption which would allow exportation of cement to Niger and Togo, Nigeria’s neighbouring countries.
“Michel Puchercos, chief executive officer, said on an investor call in Lagos. The export was made possible “through authorisation given by this administration,” Bloomberg reports
However, the exemption has been greeted with controversy as many citizens accused the Buhari-led administration of nepotism.

Can you just imagine that, why thousand of small business had gone in extinction because of this stupid man policy only to leave his fellow hausa man to continue to do trade making it more richer
@jimboicomedy
It’s the duty of govt to discourage monopoly and create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive thereby creating more billionaires.
Dangote is the biggest cabal in Nigeria.
@DrChiemeziem
Dangote should write a book on How To Lobby Corrupt African Leaders.
My theory is that Dangote probably launders money for Nigeria’s elites coz there’s no other plausible explanation as to why rules keep bending for him while his competitors’ businesses are being frustrated from thriving.
@IamTheOgee
Folks are starving with food inflation topping 30%. jobs losses make hardship worse. households borrow to buy food and dan gote gets a free pass?!
@Irunnia_
This was why Dangote didn’t lend his voice during the #EndSARS protests. He didn’t want to bite the hands that feed him.
@chideenmaarr
Listen, I just want to say there’s nothing inspirational about dangote’s wealth/business. Our oppression enriched him and his kind.
@Ethereal_ilo
Have you seen why it is absolutely impossible to be an “ethical billionaire”? Dangote is literally building his wealth on the death and starvation of millions of Nigeria.
@kingsleynovich
For those who keep admiring Aliko Dangote and saying he’s one of the best entrepreneurs in Africa, I hope you know that if you remove the Federal government assistance he has gotten over the years, he’s no better than Obinna Okonkwo in Alaba international market.
