A fresh and second wave of national lockdown has taken effect in the United Kingdom eight months after its first lockdown.
The lockdown commenced today, November 5th and is due to run for at least a month.
The lockdown was imposed in a bid to curb the widespread of COVID-19 and lower fast-rising death cases across the nation.
British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson on Monday warned that there was “no alternative” as calculated figures predicted that more Covid deaths could occur than before if further action wasn’t taken.
It was made known that proper measures have been put in place to hijack the situation and prevent it from becoming even worse than in the first wave.

Boris Johnson first declared the stringent measure on Saturday evening, with a successful vote in favour of the lockdown by MPs on Wednesday.
The Bank of England bosses are also expected to have a massive boost of £150billion into the economy with an extension of the Furlough scheme.
Non-essential services and businesses have been ordered to close down, including pubs and restaurants.
Furthermore, it was stated that foreign holidays have been banned under a new set of rules
