“2020 has been year of many challenges” – Jonathan

2 Min Read

Former President Goodluck Jonathan says Nigerians must thank God despite challenges that have confronted them individually and as a nation in 2020.

Jonathan disclosed this while sharing photos of himself at the Church of Nativity (Anglican Communion), Ikoyi, Lagos.

The church held its 2020 Adult Harvest Thanksgiving today and the former president graced the occasion.

Nigeria has encountered many challenges during the course of the year, including the COVID-19 pandemic and EndSARS protests.

The nation lost trillions and many lives during the unrest that followed the hijack of the peaceful protests by hoodlums.

On a personal note, Jonathan lost his cousin, Mrs Aranyeaziba Arugu (new Okabu) of Akipelai in Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa State earlier in the month.

Despite the challenges, the former president wrote on social media, Nigerians must thank God.

Jonathan wrote, “2020 has been a year of many challenges and struggles as individuals and as a nation, yet in the midst of all these, there are many reasons to thank God.

“Today, I was at the Church of Nativity Ikoyi, Diocese of Lagos, Anglican Communion, where I joined parishioners for their 2020 adult harvest thanksgiving.”
