Afenifere faults Buhari’s daughter over COVID-19 palliative looting claims

Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group Afenifere has faulted Zahra, the daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari, for claiming her father was not responsible for Nigeria’s problems.

She said this while reacting to the discovery and looting of warehouses storing COVID-19 palliatives by hoodlums in many states of the country.

Lagos, Osun, Kwara, Edo, Plateau, and Cross River were some of the states where warehouses were looted.

Zahra said that it vindicated her father.

“Now that people confirmed that Buhari distributed enough palliatives nationwide, it is clear Buhari is not our problem,” she wrote on Instagram.

Reacting, National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin said Zahra’s boast was coming too early.

“It is too early for Buhari’s daughter to beat her chest on behalf of the father because the oppressed has located where governors are hiding COVID-19 palliatives until an independent probe is done on the father and his warehouses searched.

“We are yet to forget that his minister was sharing foods to children in schools when they were at homes.

“The young lady should spare us the boast for now and let us mourn our dead,” the Afenifere spokesman said.
