Popular store, SPAR Nigeria has been hailed by Nigerians for the manner it responded to the looting of its store in the Lekki area of Lagos.
The company had announced the looting of the store early Thursday morning via a tweet.
The store was looted just as the Circle Mall at Jakande in Lekki, where some shops were also set ablaze.
Hoodlums in the guise of EndSARS protesters have gone berserk, looting private and public properties across Lagos and other parts of Nigeria.
Tweeting images of the looted store late Thursday afternoon, the company wrote, “Our Lekki store has been vandalised and looted.
“But, we acknowledge that this is only a setback compared to the larger issues we are all facing as a nation, and our thoughts and prayers remain with Nigerians everywhere, and for a peaceful resolution to various issues at hand.
“Rebuilding a supermarket is hard. Rebuilding a nation is even harder.
“We stand with you Nigeria. Stay focused. Be the solution.”

It appears @SPARNigeria supermarket has a better understanding of how to relate with Nigerians than Nigerian leaders.

Whoever your comms agency/consultant is, give them equity. This may be the best crisis response message by a Nigerian brand that I have ever read in my life.
