The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said 23 ships laden with petroleum products and food stuff had arrived and discharging their contents at the Lagos ports.

The NPA made this known in its publication, “Shipping Position” a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Wednesday.
It listed the contents of the ship as general cargo, bulk wheat, petrol, frozen fish, bulk sugar, bulk clinker, automobile gasoline, jet fuel, fatty acid and container.
It said that 11 ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with containers, bulk malt, bulk salt, general cargo and bulk wheat.
The NPA also said 19 other ships were being expected at the port from Oct. 14 to Oct. 25 with petroleum products, food items and other goods.
“The ships are carrying bulk wheat, bulk sugar, frozen fish, bulk gypsum, butane gas, petrol and general cargo,”it said.
