Ejigbo LCDA chairman, Hon. Monsuru Bello Obe, pleaded with Nigerian youths taking a stand against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad Unit (SARS) on October 13, Tuesday, assuring that federal and state governments are working side by side to address their demands.
Addressing the protesters led by Nigerian comedian Otoloorin Kehinde Peters popularly as Kenny Black in Ejigbo, the chairman advised them to be of orderly conduct.
He was represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Mr. Paul Fregene.
The focal point of the protests has been aimed at the disbandment of the police unit that is responsible for the excessive use of force as well as extra-judicial killing of citizens.
Speaking on their behalf, Kenny Black announced that the atrocities committed by operatives of the SARS were getting out of hand because they infringed on the fundamental human rights of citizens.

He said the protesters joined the movement to ensure that their voice in the Ejigbo community was heard.
Responding, Fregene appealed with the youths to conduct their protest in a peaceful manner so as to maintain law and order, cautioning them not to allow those with sinister motives to hijack the situation.
The #EndSars protest which started in Lagos to kick against excessive use of force by operatives of the SARS unit has garnered massive momentum to spread across the country.
