The officers gathered in the localities of La Matanza, La Plata and Lanus, all located in Buenos Aires province, according to daily La Nacion.
The monthly salary of a police officer in the province is 30,000 pesos (400 dollars), while officers working in the capital Buenos Aires earn twice that amount.
Many police officers do extra hours to make ends meet.
The protesting police officers were also demanding the right to create a trade union.
The demonstrations came after a string of serious crimes prompted the government to announce a security offensive in Buenos Aires province last Friday.
