Top Nigerian music producer, Michael Ajereh also known as Don Jazzy and music star Tiwatope Savage were allegedly invited by the Department of State Security (DSS), for alleged criticism of the Buhari administration.

According to a report by Sahara Reporters, the invitation was connected to the ‘We are Tired Movement’ started by singer, Tiwa Savage to draw attention to the growing menace of rape against women and girls in Nigeria.

Tiwa Savage supported by Mavin Boss, Don Jazzy also called out the Buhari administration and asked the President to do more regarding rape and sexual assault in the Nigerian society.

The duo also made several other posts on social media urging the APC led Buhari government to carry out it’s responsibilities towards Nigerians.

These actions earned an invited by the DSS two weeks ago where they were warned to steer clear of political activities.

When they were released, the Lagos State Commissioner of police, Zubairu Muazu allegedly invited Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, and Waje to educate them about what the police was doing to combat rape and also warn them to steer clear of Political activities against the President.

The report also alleged that Don Jazzy and Tiwa Savage have toned down their criticism of the government due to the DSS and Police invitation in the last two weeks.

Prior to the 2015 election, Nigerian musicians and producers including Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Olamide Baddo, Davido, Tuface and many others supported and openly campaigned for Muhammadu Buhari and the APC while Goodluck Jonathan was President.
