The Kwara Technical Committee on Covid-19 recorded four new cases of coronavirus in the state on Wednesday.

Mr Rafiu Ajakaye, the Spokesman of the State Technical Committee on COVID-19, made this known in a statement issued on Thursday in Ilorin.
Ajakaye, who is also the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, said that five patients were discharged from the isolation centres in the state having tested negative for the dreaded virus.
He said that the state has so far recorded a total of 940 confirmed cases of the virus with 25 deaths
According to him, out of the 940 confirmed cases, 745 patients have been discharged, leaving 170 active cases in the state.
Ajakaye said that 4,978 tests were conducted and 3,877 tested negative while 161 tests were pending.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the virus has so far spread to 11 out of the 16 local government areas of the state.
The local governments which have recorded cases are Ilorin West, Ilorin South, Ilorin East, Moro, Offa, Oyun, Irepodun, Asa, Oke Ero, Edu and Ifelodun.
Ekiti, Isin, Patigi, Kaiama and Kosubosu local government areas have not recorded any case of the dreaded disease.
