Actor Wilford Brimley, Face Of Quaker Oats Dead At 85

American actor, Wilford Brimley, who is popularly known as the face of Quaker Oats has died at the age of 85.

According to TMZBrimley passed away on Saturday morning in his home in Utah after battling an illness for several days.

Brimley started out as mostly a TV actor, landing one-time roles on TV series like “How the West Was Won,” ‘Kung Fu,’ “The Oregon Trail,” and then eventually … a recurring part on “The Waltons.” He went on to star in a bunch of TV movies, such as “The Wild Wild West Revisited,” “Amber Waves,” “Roughnecks,” “Rodeo Girl,” ‘The Big Black Pill,’ and so on.

Brimley’s close friend and long time partner Dominic Mancini shared a heartfelt message to honor his memory and talk about how impactful his career was.

“To know Wilford, was to love Wilford,” Mancini wrote. “He had an amazing career, and sliced through the screen with his dry wit, stoic stature, and powerful coveyance. His unique blend of unexpected comedy and inedible storytelling will always remain unmatched.”

Brimley is survived by his wife Beverly Berry, and four sons Bill, Lawrence, John, and Jim.
