“Corona has covered inefficiency of many governors; Lagos not close to a megacity” – Seyi Law

Omo Ibo: Seyi Law slams Teni's critics

Popular comedian, Seyi Law says many state governors are getting away with underperformance owing to the focus on the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.

He stated this in a tweet on Friday while lamenting the decay in public infrastructure and amenities across the country.

Seyi Law singled out the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Lagos State for criticism, noting that the vaunted status of Lagos as a megacity has become nothing but a charade.

He particularly decried the poor state of the roads in Nigeria’s commercial nerve centre, adding that residents have no other choice than to put up with the unpalatable situation day in, day out.

Analysts say many profitable manhours are wasted on the roads in Lagos as many residents are daily confounded by constant traffic gridlock blamed on bad roads, ineffective and corrupt law enforcement, among many other factors.

The closure of the popular Third Mainland Bridge for repairs for six months is also expected to further negatively affect the traffic situation, despite the Lagos State Government’s assurances to the contrary.

Seyi Law wrote, ” Forget it, Corona has covered the ineffectiveness of many Governors.

“The roads are worse this period. Lagos is not close to a mega city at all. We are in Nigeria, let’s keep enduring it.”
