Bandits killing people in PDP states too – Senator flays Masari

The Senator for Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate, Shehu Sani has blasted Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, for blaming “enemies” of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for unending bandit and insurgent attacks in the north.

Addressing APC ward and local government chairmen on Sunday, Masari claimed that politicians were sponsoring the attacks to make the APC look not in control and get Nigerians to vote against it in the 2023 general election.

“Most of the bandits and Boko Haram attacks facing the northern part of the country are sponsored by some politicians who are enemies of the present APC government at both federal and state,” Masari said.

“They are saying we dislodged the PDP administration because of insecurity, so they want to make use of insecurity to also send APC away, that is why all APC should be vigilant,” the governor added.

But Sani, a chieftain of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), disagreed with the governor’s assertion.

He noted that Nigerians were being killed in Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) states too.

Sani identified Zamfara, Sokoto and Benue states as some of the PDP states being attacked by bandits.

The senator advised Masari to stop making excuses for his and his party’s failures.

He wrote, “To Governor Masari, bandits are killing in PDP controlled states of Sokoto, Zamfara and Benue; Bandits are Killing in APC controlled states of Niger, Kaduna and Katsina; Thou shalt not maketh excuses when thee hath failed.”
