30-year-old rapper, Rudolph Johnson, popularly called Lil Marlo has been confirmed dead after being gunned down while driving in his hometown, Atlanta.
Police officers told TMZ that they responded to a call late Saturday night. The call came in as a car accident on Interstate 285 in downtown Atlanta, but when police officers arrived the scene, they discovered that Lil Marlo had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police officer said: “At this time, investigators believe the victim was the intended target of the gunfire and they are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.”
QC labelmates, Lil Yachty and JT of the City Girls, confirmed Marlo’s death on social media.

“We just did a song a 4 this morning smh rip brother @lilmarlo_1,” Yachty wrote on Instagram while JT tweeted: “Rest In Peace Marlo……damn.”
Police currently do not know if the shooting was a drive-by incident, whether he was shot inside the car, or if he was shot at another location and crashed trying to seek help.
Lil Marlo left behind a daughter and a son.
