Brendance and Crusader (BC) Limited, the organisers of Mr and Miss Nigeria International (MMNI) 2020 edition, say that 50 out of the 120 registered contestants scaled through its just concluded screen test audition.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BC, Bredan Nsikak, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday that the audition was conducted by its crew members that reviewed the video clips presented by the contestants.
He said that the 50 selected contestants would be placed for voting, being the next stage of the MMNI 2020 Rebirth Edition aimed at identifying winners for higher pageantry competitions and modelling opportunities.
“Our normal audition that brings contestants and judges physically present was not possible this year due to the COVID-19 restrictions order by the government which compelled us to go virtual.
“The 120 contestants sent their video clips through the official site which was used by our crew to run the virtual audition and 50 out of them were picked for their outstanding performances.
“We are preparing for the voting stage with 50 contestants and it is the number of votes recorded by each that will count and be used by the judges,” he told NAN.
According to him, preparations are ongoing for the voting billed to take off end of July, while contestants are expected to communicate their fans to boost their chances of selection.
Nsikak added that the Rebirth edition would be the best, as new innovating ideas and functions would be introduced.
He also said that the winners would have the opportunities to represent Nigeria in various world pageants.
