The Nigerian Youth Compact on COVID-19 (NYCC-19) says it is partnering Tradomed Pharmaceutical company in the fight against Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.

Mr Gambo Haruna, the National Chairman of group, said this during a courtesy call on the management of the firm on Tuesday in Abuja.
The NYCC is a group of 53 international, governmental and NGOs members committed to prioritise the needs and rights of people affected by disaster, conflict and emergencies.
Haruna commended the effort of TradoMed company for the humanitarian interventions it was providing for Nigerians across the country, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said that the compact sought to partner with the company to engage 10 million Nigerian youths in mitigating the spread of the coronavirus.
He further said that the NYCC-19 was an integrated framework and mechanism for youth engagement and Peer Intervention Strategy (PIS).
According to him, it is meant to sensitise and mobilise the youths to enhance response to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
He also said that the compact was set up as a realistic and practicable Action Plan to face the emerging post COVID-19 economic and social realities.
Mr Chibuike Echem, Head, NYCC-19 States Affairs, said that the compact had structures in the 774 Local Government Areas of the federation.
Responding, Alhaji Abbah Goji, the Vice Chairman of TradoMed, who received the NYCC-19 team on behalf of the company Chairman, Dr Abbas Waziri, applauded them for the synergy.
Goji expressed optimism that the partnership would enable the parties to evolve robust ideas to ensure the realisation of the aims and objectives of the NYCC-19.
The vice chairman, therefore, advised leaders of the group to expand their vision beyond the pandemic and focus more on post COVID-19,
He urged them to be patient and unite in carrying out their national assignment while assuring them of maximum support and partnership of the company.
