Edo 2020: Omoregie Steps Down for Obaseki, Promises to Withdraw Court Case

1 Min Read

All the Governorship hopefuls on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Edo state including Hon. Omoregie Ogbeide Ihama have stepped down for Governor Godwin Obaseki, clearing the way for the incumbent Governor to contest for a second term in Office.

Omoregie also promised to withdraw his case against the party in court as all parties involved agreed to settle out of court on Wednesday.

Omoregie has challenged the waiver granted by the PDP to Obaseki to contest the Governorship on its platform.

He asked the court to restrict the governor from participating in the party primaries slated for Thursday, June 25.
