Hurricane Chris has been released from prison on bail after being charged with second degree murder for killing a man at the gas station.
According to XXL, the rapper was released on $500,000 bond on Sunday (June 21).
The Herald earlier reported that the rapper was arrested on Friday after an early-morning shooting at a gas station. According to the Shreveport Police Department, the “A Bay Bay” rapper told authorities that there was a struggle over his car, which led to him shooting the man multiple times in self-defense.
TMZ revealed that the car in question was reported stolen in the state of Texas, so Hurricane Chris was also booked for illegal possession of the stolen property.
After arriving at the scene, officers found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
