US President, Donald Trump has filed charges against his former National Security Adviser, John Bolton for attempting to publish classified information in a book.
According to the BBC, the US department of Justice filed the suit against Bolton to prevent him from publishing a book about his time at the White House.

Donald Trump alleges that the contents of Bolton’s new book is a breach of contract signed with the Trump administration when he was on-board. It is also alleged that the book contains classified information which is not meant to be exposed.
“I will consider every conversation with me as President highly classified.
“So that would mean that if he wrote a book and if the book gets out, he’s broken the law and I would think he would have criminal problems,” the US President said.
According to the lawsuit filed on Tuesday, Bolton’s new book is rife with classified information and the former NSA had pulled out of a White House vetting process for the book which he had agreed to initially.
According to prosecutors;
“Bolton struck a bargain with the United States as a condition of his employment in one of the most sensitive and important national security positions in the United States Government and now wants to renege on that bargain by unilaterally deciding that the prepublication review process is complete and deciding for himself whether classified information should be made public.”
Members of an NGO, the non profit American Civil Liberties Union however kicked against the lawsuit saying the book must be released.
“Any Trump administration efforts to stop John Bolton’s book from being published are doomed to fail”.
Counsel to the former NSA, Charles Cooper says the lawsuit is being looked into and will be responded to accordingly.
The US President said he forced the former NSA to resign from the position for agitating for the United States to go to war with Iran and North Korea.
