LeBron James is returning to Cleveland! The King broke the news via Sports Illustrated just moments ago.
In a lengthy essay, James says; ‘My goal is still to win as many titles as possible, no question. But what’s most important for me is bringing one trophy back to Northeast Ohio.’
This time around LeBron isn’t promising any championships, though he accepts the challenge of working alongside rising star Kyrie Irving and Andrew Wiggins.
Akron’s own has always felt that he would finish his career in his home state and now he will have the opportunity to do so. The NBA world just got flipped on its proverbial head, and the Eastern Conference is wide open for the taking.
What’s next: Carmelo will likely re-sign with the Knicks, as expected, and Chris Bosh will most certainly take theHouston Rockets‘ 4-year $88 million offer.
“In Northeast Ohio, nothing is given. Everything is earned. You work for what you have.
I’m ready to accept the challenge. I’m coming home.”
