Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will be 76 years in 2023 but it will not stop him from contesting for the presidency again in the next general election.

His son and Commissioner for Works and Energy in Adamawa State, Adamu Atiku-Abubakar said the 2019 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would be taking another shot at the nation’s top job in 2023.

Adamu, who spoke while presenting his ministry’s scorecard as Governor Ahmadu Fintiri clocked a year in office, said, “Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with my father contesting for the presidency. In 2023, my father will be aspiring to the number one office in the land because he has been an astute, strategic,  master politician for almost four decades.”

Meanwhile, the commissioner said Fintiri’s PDP administration in the state had surpassed expectations by delivering faithfully on campaign promises in one year in office.
