Jack Dorsey Donates $3Million To Colin Kaepernick’s ‘Know Your Rights’ Camp

2 Min Read

Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey donated $3 million to Know Your Rights Camp, an organization established by former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

The Know Your Rights Camp is an organization established by former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick and it is dedicated to empowering people of color.

The mission of Know Your Rights Camp, according to its website, is “to advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities through education, self-empowerment, mass-mobilization and the creation of new systems that elevate the next generation of change leaders.”

Dorsey’s donation comes through his Small Grants fund, under which he has pledged to give away nearly one-third of his wealth through stock holdings in Square that are currently worth $1.7 billion to COVID-19 relief and other causes.

His donation comes as the U.S. is in its second week of mass protests over the killing of George Floyd, a black man who died while in Minneapolis police custody.
