Only the All Progressives Congress (APC) can guarantee Igbo people a shot at producing the president in 2023, a Lagos lawmaker has said.
The lawmaker representing Oshodi/Isolo Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Jude Idimogu stated this while reacting to frequent complaints of marginalisation by the South-East geopolitical zone.
He was at the palace of Eze Nwajiofor Okoli, Eze Ndigbo of Ajeromi-Ifelodun, on Wednesday to seek his support after emerging apex leader of Igbo in Lagos APC.
He encouraged Ndigbo to join the party en-masse as it was the party with the kind of relevance they needed to achieve their ambition of producing the president.
Idimogu said Ndigbo cannot continue to waste time in irrelevant parties and expect to achieve much politically.

“The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cannot give Ndigbo the presidency.
“They need to embrace APC to be relevant politically. We cannot continue to complain of marginalisation and remain in opposition.
“We must join the ruling party en-masse and anytime it is our turn to produce the president, we would be in a good position to do that,” Daily Independent quoted him as saying.
