Nigerians are lucky to have Buhari as President – Femi Adesina

2 Min Read

Femi Adesina, presidential aide has deemed Nigerians lucky to have President Buhari as their leader.

Adesina who currently serves as Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the President made this known via his verified Twitter account.

Replying to critics of the Buhari-led administration who attacked the President for his perceived incompetence in handling COVID-19 Pandemic and other problems affecting the nation, the presidential aide defended his boss saying citizens should count themselves lucky to be led by him.

“I believe the president is leading the country well. In fact, we are lucky to him at a time like this.”

This is coming after the presidential aide came under heavy backlash from critics who mocked him over the appointment of Ibrahim Agboola Gambari as the new Chief of Staff (CoS) following Abba Kyari’s demise.

According to critics, Femi Adesina was among the people who constantly ‘vilified Gambari over his alleged supportive role in the trial and execution of Ken Saro Wiwa by the Sani Abacha regime’, The Punch reports.

However, since Gambari’s emergence as CoS, Critics have taken pleasure in taunting the presidential aide who now has to answer to the latter as his boss.

Adesina who appears to be unbothered with the scrutiny said he has no apologies to be a Buhari supporter

“A quote from mischief-makers is making the rounds, ascribed to me. I just dey laugh.

“I am a Buharist any day, no apologies, and I believe the president”

“All attempts to demonize me will fail.”
