A 28-year-old mother from Basud in Camarines Norte, Philippines has been arrested for stabbing her 3 kids to death.
According to reports, the she hacked her children, ages 5, 1 year/8 months old, and 4 months old, to death at their home. She then attempted to kill herself, but survived the stabbing.
Police said that “the mother admitted to the crime thinking she was infected with the deadly Covid-19.”
Basud Police have assumed that the suspect could be suffering Postpartum Depression (PPD) which sometimes affects mothers after giving birth.

The Philippine National Police has filed a three count parricide (killing of relatives) arrest against the mother.
The husband of the suspect and other relatives are very determined to press charges against her.

Meanwhile, Oil prices slumped on Friday after China’s decision to omit an economic growth target for 2020 renewed concerns that the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic will continue to depress fuel demand in the world’s second-largest oil user.
Brent crude fell $1.56, or 4.3 per cent to $34.50 a barrel by 0323 GMT, after gaining nearly one per cent on Thursday.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude dropped by $1.79, or 5.3 per cent, to $32.13 a barrel, having gained more than one per cent in the last session.
