Russia has partly eased its coronavirus-related entry ban, allowing the return of foreign athletes and coaches, the Russian Government said in a statement on Sunday.
“Foreign athletes and coaching staff members will soon return to Russia as the cabinet has amended a decree issued on March 16, banning the entry of foreigners starting from March 18, due to the COVID-19 pandemic,’’ the statement said.

The permission applies to those who have signed valid labour contracts with Russian sports organisations and the arrivals are required to be quarantined for 14 days, it said.
The decision will help professional sports organisations, including premier league football clubs, resume training, it added.
