Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has stated that the COVID-19 test results of Nigerian citizens evacuated from UK, US, and Dubai will not be made public.
This is coming after one of the Dubai Returnees dropped dead upon arrival.
However, Chikwe Ihekweazu, NCDC Director-General at the Thursday daily briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) said the COVID-19 status of the returnees will not be revealed to the general public.
Announcing the returnees are undergoing a mandatory self-isolation, the NCDC Boss said “We are doing the test, even when the tests are out we are not going to offer it to you. We will offer it to the returnees. If they are patients we will manage that.
“We are not going to make public the results whether you just came back from Dubai or you are living in Nigeria. Results are meant for patients who got tested”
