Kanye West’s Yeezy Being Sued By Software Company Over Unpaid Fees

2 Min Read

Kanye West’s Yeezy company is being sued by a software company for failing to pay its bills.

Colorado-based company, Backbone PLC has alleged that West and his company failed to pay them $125,000 in fees for their service. The company licenses out software tools to apparel brands that allow them to analyze the lifespans of their products.

The software company claims that Yeezy paid the initial $20,000 implementation fee and an inaugural annual fee of $10,000. Yeezy also paid the monthly user fees for a year, totaling $43,200.

However in September 2019, Kanye West’s company allegedly stopped paying the fees despite having access to the software. The company says the outstanding invoices are for eight months of use.

The lawsuit claims that: “Despite the repeated requests, as of the date of this complaint, [Yeezy] has made no payment towards the outstanding invoices.”

It seems that, with much money, comes numerous lawsuits. Kanye West was officially named a Billionaire by Forbes few weeks ago.

According to a recent report by Bloomberg, Yeezy x Adidas footwear partnership alone has been valued at approximately $3 billion as of the end of 2019.

Kanye is always surrounded by controversy. Just two months ago, Yeezy settled its drawn-out battle with textile supplier Toki Sen-I Co.
