The republic of Ghana has confirmed 1,032 new cases of coronavirus barely 10 days after lifting the nationwide lockdown.
Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo lifted a three-week lockdown on the 19th of April 2020 after the country recorded 1,042 cases and 99 recoveries at that time. After lifting the lockdown, a lot of Ghanaians took to the streets to celebrate.
However, the celebrations didn’t last for long as the country has recorded 1000 new cases since the lockdown was lifted.

According to records from Ghana’s ministry of health, the country currently has 2,074 confirmed cases of coronavirus, out of which 212 recoveries and 17 deaths have been recorded, showing an increase in the number of confirmed cases since the lockdown was lifted.
