A UK-based Nigerian pastor, Dele Olawanle, has warned Nigerians to take every precaution to avoid contracting COVID-19.
The COVID-19 survivor stated this in a tweet on Saturday.
Olawanle, who is also a lawyer and author, said he was at “death’s door” for over two weeks after contracting the virus despite taking necessary precautions.
According to the Senior Pastor of Winners Kingdom International Christian Centre, only God’s saving grace restored him to health.
He warned those currently doubting the existence of the virus to beware so as not to fall victims, saying COVID-19 creates devastating effects.
He wrote, “Despite the necessary precautions, I caught COVID-19. I was @death’s door for over two weeks and His grace saved me. Listen, quote the scriptures, speak your grammar and say your prayers but make sure you don’t catch it as no one knows what d outcome will be. It was a nightmare!”

Earlier, the leadership and business expert warned those criticising some pastors over their views on the virus to stop doing so.
Olawanle stated, “I do not think any pastor should be attacked on what they said about Coronavirus. In life we speak from the angle of limited knowledge. So, if you think someone is wrong with his views, let us know your own views without being abusive. That is called wisdom.”
