Mavins music star, Rema has urged fans to stop comparing him to other artistes as it is totally uncalled for.
Rema in a tweet, stated that afrobeat is a movement whose growth requires the support and unity of all not comparison.
He emphasized that the way people measure him with other artistes is not needed, adding that it is not good to keep “bringing down our own”.

Rema advised that Afrobeat should rather be celebrated of the successes it has achieved in this present time.
He tweeted: “My win is YOUR win, Afrobeat is a movement & we need all the support we can get. The comparisons between me & my heroes are unnecessary, let’s stop bringing down our own. Let’s celebrate where Afrobeat is at today and focus on where it will be tomorrow, God bless you all.”
Meanwhile, Nollywood actor, Mike Godson has written an open letter to Vice President Osinbajo concerning the rising hunger rate due to coronavirus.
In the letter, he thanked the federal government for taking drastic measures in curbing the spread of the coronavirus in the country, however he revealed that due to the lockdown, a lot of homes have been affected including his own.
