The federal government has sought Senate’s approval for a N500bn loan to help contain the rising cases of coronavirus in Nigeria.
The minister of finance budget and national planning, Zainab Ahmed, made this known on Saturday, April 4, during a meeting with the leadership of the National Assembly.
The minister explained that the loan would be used as COVID-19 crisis Intervention Fund to upgrade Nigerian healthcare facilities.

According to her, “The Federal Government also needs to be in a position to improve health care facilities not only in the states but to provide intervention to the states.”
