In a surprising turn of events, a fierce critic of the Buhari administration, Femi Fani Kayode has come out to defend the government.
Fani Kayode tweeted on Thursday that Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari was not dead contrary to rumours and speculations.
Abba Kyari was diagnosed with the deadly Coronavirus and was subsequently put into isolation at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada.
It was reported thereafter that he was flown to the Yaba Infectious Diseases Centre, Lagos for closer observation.

Thereafter the whereabouts of the Chief of Staff remained unknown as rumours spread that he was secretly flown to Dubai as the effects of the coronavirus Infection became severe.
The Lagos State Government at the time also denied knowledge of his whereabouts, adding fire to the rumours which were escalated to his alleged death.
Kemi olulonyo also added fuel to the rumours when she reported that a high ranking member of Buhari’s cabinet was dead. She however refused to mention any names.
His doctor however released a statement saying the politician was in a private Medical facility in Lagos and responding well to treatment.
Femi Fani Kayode also confirmed that Abba Kyari was alive.
It is not true that Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to @MBuhari, is dead. Those that are behind that rumour are vicious and heartless. I remain opposed to the @MBuhari admin. but to wish or proclaim someone dead simply because you disagree with him politically is unacceptable
