The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, has declared some prayers and words of encouragement to Nigerians over the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Kumuyi on Tuesday, March 24, through his Twitter handle said satan and the world may be furious but the words of Christ will be fulfilled.

According to him, “Satan and the world may be furious, His words to you will be fulfilled. Dazzling sights I see, terrifying sounds I hear, and all these sights and sounds may fill the horizons, all the same, the words of Christ will be fulfilled. You will crossover to the other side!”

Earlier, The Herald reported that the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, suspended all services at the Gbagada headquarters where over 30,000 members gather to worship.

The Herald gathered that Kumuyi disclosed this in a memo sent to all groups and district churches in Lagos state.

Recall that Lagos state government said no church or Juma’at service must have more than 50 persons to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The memo read: “No gathering of worshipers should be more than 50 and where they are more, they should be sent to Location/church in the house.

“Washing materials should be placed at the entrance of churches and any member with temperature above 38.0C should be refereed to the Medical Personnel for immediate attention.

“Hand washing materials, such as running water and liquid soap should be provided at the entrances of the churches, while members should be encouraged to thoroughly wash their hands before entering the
Church.

“Alcohol-based hand sanitizer should be made available for the same purpose in all our churches. Each Church should arrange and ensure regular cleaning and disinfecting places such as toilets, all floors, surfaces such as door handles, chairs, church benches and pulpits with disinfectants.”
