BREAKING: FG Restricts International Flights to Two Airports in Nigeria

Federal Government of Nigeria has restricted the nation’s international flights to two major airports in the country.

Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos and Nnamdi Azikwe Airport in Abuja have been approved by Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) as the only airports allowed to embark on international trips.

This decision was taken as a precautionary measure to curtail the  spread of the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Dr. Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Health made the announcement while addressing newsmen.

Ehanire stated that all incoming international flights will only be allowed into the two airports.

Coronavirus originated from Wuhan China has continued to spread like wildfire with over 220,000 infected patients spread across 30 nations of the world including US, UK, Canada, France, Italy among others

Nigeria has recorded 12 confirmed cases of the virus since the index case which was reported February 27, 2020.
