Norway on Thursday said it would shut all its kindergartens, schools and universities in a bid to reduce the spread of the coronavirus, Prime Minister Erna Solberg said.

“Norway and the world face challenging times and there is a need to pull together to save lives,” she said.
Earlier, the Minister of Health, Bent Hoie, said health personnel would be banned from travelling abroad from Thursday until the end of April.
He, however, urged other citizens to refrain from non-essential foreign trips.
Norway so far, had recorded 620 coronavirus cases but no fatalities.
“Every person who has travelled outside the Nordic region since Feb. 27, was ordered to be in home isolation for 14 days,” Hoie said.
Sports and cultural events would be banned until March 26. Swimming pools and training centres would also be closed.
