Muhammadu Sanusi, who was dethroned and whisked out of Kano State has now been confined to live in a residence in Awe, Nasarawa state.
Sanusi who was initially banished to Loko, a town in Nasarawa, was later transferred in a helicopter to Awe, over lack of social amenities in Loko. Photos of his new residence in Awe has however emerged and was published in a report by Daily Trust on Wednesday.

The Herald earlier reported that Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, and retired general, Aliyu Gusau prevented the banishment of deposed Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II to Opanda town in Toto LGA of Nasarawa State.
Instead, the exiled ex-monarch will now live in Loko town of Nasarawa LGA in Nasarawa State.
This followed the dethronement of Sanusi, who was installed in 2014, by the Kano State Executive Council led by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje on Monday. The deposed Emir had been at loggerheads with the governor before his removal.
He was exiled to Nasarawa State and a new Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero, was immediately installed in his place.
Daily Trust, quoting an unnamed source, said that the Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, had meant for the deposed Emir to stay in Opanda town.
However, the source added, some prominent Nigerians prevailed on the governor to allow the exiled Sanusi to stay in Loko town, which they described as more befitting.
The source disclosed that Dangote, Gusau, and Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Dauda Bage (Rtd), were among those who prevailed on the governor.
“Actually, the deposed emir was scheduled to be exiled from Kano to Opanda town in Toto Local Government but there was a change of decision at the last minute.
