Kristy D said:”Repeat after me, Editors lightened her skin, not Doja”
“oh dang why’d they make her white,” one read, while another said “Doja’s light but she’s not that light.”
Melanin said: “Ight imma head out, The caucasity jumped out.”
However, a few believed that YouTube purposely lightened her skin. They wrote: ‘Editors lightened her skin, not Doja’ and ‘Doja please don’t let them whitewash you …that pic is over exposed.’
Others were of the opinion that it was a marketing strategy, saying “I guess the more closer to white you are the more you market, right?”
But a few of her fans defended the rapper, urging people to focus on her music instead of her skin color. One said: “Isn’t she half white, why is this even a problem,’ one wrote, with another adding ‘How about focus on her talent and not her skin tone.”
