Disfigured child told to leave KFC because she was “scaring the customers”

3 Min Read

Three year old Victoria Wilcher was horribly scarred in a vicious pit bull attack. In April of this year, Victoria was at her grandfather’s house. His three pit bulls broke through the door and attacked the little girl. They then dragged her out into the backyard and continued to maul her. Her grandfather, Donald Mullins, and his girlfriend, Rita Tompkins, rushed out to try and stop the dogs. Mullins ended up shooting two of them when they came after him and Tompkins. Two of the dogs died from the gunshot wounds.

Victoria was rushed to the hospital. She had suffered a broken nose, broken cheekbones, broken upper and lower jaw, broken eye sockets, and lost her right eye. She also can no longer move the right side of her face. She has undergone many surgeries and is expected to go through many more. She is a fighter but unfortunately has recently gone through something that no little girl should experience.

Victoria’s grandmother, Kelly Mullins, went to a KFC in Jackson, Mississippi after a doctor’s visit. She was on a feeding tube but her grandmother ordered some mashed potatoes as she thought they may be easy for her to swallow. Before they even got a chance to order their food, they were asked to leave the restaurant. The employee said that she was disrupting the other customers and scaring them so they needed to leave. Mullins was disgusted. She took Victoria outside and they got back in the car and headed home. Victoria cried all the way home because she knew what had happened.

A Facebook page was started for Victoria to show her progress. Her mother put up a post about the incident and stated that she would never be going to another KFC. They responded by telling her that there was a zero tolerance policy on this kind of thing and were investigating the matter.  The company apologized profusely. Victoria has not let this incident keep her down though. She is happy and getting better every day.
