Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother was rushed to the hospital after suffering a stroke on Tuesday morning in her native island of Madeira in Portugal.
Dolores Aveiro, a mum of 4 kids is said to have been admitted to Dr. Nelio Mendonca Hospital in her native island of Madeira just after 5 am on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, she is “conscious and stable.”
She is believed to have suffered an ischemic stroke, caused by a blood clot that blocks or plugs a blood vessel in the brain which is the most common type of stroke.
At the start of last year Dolores revealed she was “fighting for her life” after a new cancer diagnosis, this came after she beat breast cancer in 2007.
But in February last year ahead of a trip to Italy to celebrate her son’s 35th birthday she admitted to new health problems.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s mum had posted a picture showing her enjoying a day out on her home island on Sunday.

The 65-year-old, who has more than two million followers on Instagram, wrote alongside the photo: “Happy Sunday to everyone.”
Her daughter Katia responded: “My darling mum.”
Lisbon-based club’s foundation in a statement said: “Sporting Clube de Portugal wishes Dolores Aveiro all the best and wishes she makes a speedy recovery.”
